Wax Machine release third EP Mind Palace

We’re huge fans of psych outfit Wax Machine here at Brightonsfinest. One of the most unique acts in the Brighton scene, we described their slot at this year’s Lewes Psychedelic festival as fusing, “Visionary fables through the modes of 60s psychedelia, Middle Eastern-influenced vibes and lovingly crafted harmonies.” Following up their The This EP, which dropped in April, the band have now released their third extended play, Mind Palace.

Freak out with Wax Machine’s new EP

A steaming brew of jazz-rock, gospel harmonies, 60s psych and folk, Brighton’s Wax Machine have just released their new EP, The This, along with a brilliantly psychedelic video for ‘This’.

Wax Machine are like nothing this side of the 21st century; freaky 60s soundtrack meets lo-fi prog via a loose psychedelic jamming vibe. “People around the world, can you hear our sound,” they sing on ‘This’. We hope they will soon!

Lewes Psych Fest – All Saints Centre – 26th-27th January 2018

Melting Vinyl and Innerstrings’ Lewes Psychedelic Festival is always a highlight of the calendar year. Not only do they get a group of fantastic bands together, they craft the perfect mixture of a great venue, mesmerising visuals and lighting, and substantial doses of psych goodness. This year’s was no different, with the likes of Wax Machine, Wolf People and Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation all descending upon the old-school setting of the All Saints Centre.
