In 2018, South Coast band Submariner took some serious steps to making it into the next level of their relatively short career. They released ‘T.O.Y.S.’, which we called “Pure indie-pop brilliance”, as well as performing a euphoric headline set at Green Door Store that we described as “sumptuous” and “atmospheric”.
We’ve been aboard the Submariner hype for a little while now, having seen them over a year ago now at their Green Door Store headline show as well as interviewing the four-piece at the end of last year. The indie-pop quartet look like they have all the ingredients to truly breakout of Brighton and they’ve proven it with latest single ‘T.O.Y.S’.
Submariner, the Sussex by way of Hampshire four-piece, have really started picking up steam over the last couple of months. With the release of new single ‘Stumbling’ and a whole host of gigs across the South Coast it’s starting to look like they might be ready to come up to the surface. Their gig at Green Door Store, along with fellow indie up-and-comers Karma Club and Blushes, showed that they might just have what it takes.
