As far as years go, Brighton’s Sick Joy might have had the most impressive 2018 of any Brighton band. Not only did they release two excellent singles and their debut EP, but they wowed audiences with huge support slots for the likes of Tigercub at Concorde 2 and Feeder at Brixton Academy.
With a sold out show earlier this year at Camden Assembly, and a new publishing deal with Bucks in the bag, the Brighton-based grunge rockers, Sick Joy, have energy in abundance, and the tunes to back that up.
Following the release of their debut EP, Amateurs, Sick Joy are one local Brighton band who are continuously proving that they’re next in line to make it big. Securing themselves a sell out support slot earlier in the week with Feeder’s Brixton date, the boys are back with their largest headline show yet. I promise you now, this show was a phenomenal evening of classic grunge that has more than proven why you need to have Sick Joy in your playlists.
