There aren’t many promoters and labels that support Brighton’s thriving music scene like QM Records. From live gigs, to single launches, as well as appearances on radio stations and conferences, the label is at the centre of a flourishing scene. Which makes it all the more exciting that they’re bringing back Moves Festival. This time taking place at The Old Market, it’s announced its first two acts for the evening section of the festival.
Brighton-based rapper and produced Bobbie Johnson has announced the release of some new music in the form of an EP, to be released 22nd September on QM Records, with an accompanying launch gig at the Green Door Store.
Spectrum, a project of the Brighton Dome to support local music, has run a concert on Record Store Day for a few years in the Studio Theatre but, as that is being redeveloped at the moment, they decided to host the event in the main concert hall this year. It is an eight hour marathon of almost non-stop live music with some of the best local acts around, in collaboration with the Green Door Store venue, QM Records and Love Thy Neighbour record labels.
