Disco legends Nile Rodgers & Chic, and pop-rockers Bastille are just two names announced for this year’s Wilderness Festival, now in its eighth year, and which takes place in Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire, 2nd-5th August.
Also announced are electronic artist Jon Hopkins, progressive saxophonist Kamasi Washington, Baxter Dury, Chk Chk Chk, Mahalia, Groove Armada, Joy Crookes, The Pee Wee Ellis Funk Assembly, Afriquoi and IAMDDB. The Wilderness Orchestra will also be back, this year presenting ‘God’s Jukebox’ which will see audience members apply to have their favourite songs performed by the orchestra and personally dedicated to them.
Wilderness is known for its food as much as its music, and expect a feast of worldwide cuisine spread around the site. That, along with cabaret, comedy, open air theatre, spoken word and plenty of workshops makes this festival a feast for the eyes, ears, mouth and anything else you can think of.
