We’re huge fans of psych outfit Wax Machine here at Brightonsfinest. One of the most unique acts in the Brighton scene, we described their slot at this year’s Lewes Psychedelic festival as fusing, “Visionary fables through the modes of 60s psychedelia, Middle Eastern-influenced vibes and lovingly crafted harmonies.” Following up their The This EP, which dropped in April, the band have now released their third extended play, Mind Palace.
Launching it at Strange Cages’ ‘Deadbeat Disco’ at The Richmond on 8th November, the EP is another journey into the world of Wax Machine. Meandering, yet incredibly captivating, it’s a record that equally evokes Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull at their most experimental. Simply, Wax Machine are one of Brighton’s very best bands.
