Brighton band Underwater Boys have revealed ‘Apricot’, out now on Brighton-based Cannibal Hymns. “Apricot is a song about the fear of being bad for the person you love,” explains lead singer Tom Klar. “It’s about seeing your partner struggle, and feeling helpless to ease their pain because of your own struggles – perhaps they’d be better off without you, but you love them too much to let go.”
As well as a show at London’s Moth Club, 22nd May, with Our Girl, they’ll be performing in their home-town as part of this year’s The Great Escape Festival, 17th-19th May.
