Norwegian pop star Sigrid has just released the new single ‘Sucker Punch’, following her Raw EP and festival performances at Reading & Leeds and Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend. ‘Sunker Punch’ also comes with an augmented reality lyric video using new technology, which has a ‘smartphone’ aesthetic mirroring our social media landscape.
“’Sucker Punch’ is one of my favourite songs so far and I’ve been so excited for release day! Emily Warren, Martin Sjølie and I made it when we were in Ocean Sound Recordings in my hometown a while ago. The song is just a result of our usual way of working: talking, cooking, strolling, singing, dancing, experimenting! Urgh it was so fun – just like the track itself,” says Sigrid.
She’ll be playing her biggest headline to date on 12th November and the O2 Brixton Academy, and will be in Brighton next March, supporting George Ezra at the Brighton Centre.
