The New York-based musician, songwriter, and producer, Sam Evian, will be dropping the pastoral The Byrds-esque single ‘Summer Day’ on 19th October, to coincide with a tour of the UK.
Evian, who recently released his critically-acclaimed new album You, Forever, will be visiting Brighton during his UK tour, with a show at The Hope & Ruin on 24th October.
“We were up in a rented house not far from Woodstock, NY,” explains Evian about the new single ‘Summer Day’, which was recorded at the very end of the album process. “The band had left, and my partner Hannah (Cohen) and I stuck around for a few extra days.
“It felt like we could have stayed in that lush green paradise forever. I remember lamenting the idea of going back to Brooklyn, where personal ghosts and sweaty anxieties rule us all.”
