The former Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney, has just released two new tracks, ‘I Don’t Know’ and ‘Come On To Me’, both displaying his ageless ear for a melody and somewhat of a re-visit down the highways of his 60s and 70s heyday, with his previous beat combos.
After teasing the new music last week via the oh-so-now medium of Instagram, these are the first fruits from his new album, Egypt Station, to be released 7th September.
Each new track arrives with a video, both of which you can watch below. You can also listen to the new songs via your preferred streaming platform here.
McCartney says of the forthcoming album, “I liked the words ‘Egypt Station’. It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make. Egypt Station starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gave us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.”
McCartney may be 76, but there appears to be plenty of life in the Fab One.
