The loss of Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar at the end of this month (31st December) will, no doubt, leave a hole in the Brighton music scene. A venue loved by promoters, musicians and punters alike, the end of its life deserves to go out with a proper bang. Thankfully, Brighton promoters Neat Neat Neat are on the case with their second ever Christmas party also turning into a farewell party for the beloved venue on Middle Street – and boy have they recruited a stunning line-up.
Abattoir Blues will take the headline spot, playing their first Brighton show since Halloween, while Brightonsfinest favourites Fur will provide main support, fresh from their beautiful new single ‘Angel Eyes’. Also on the bill will be rising underground stars Squid, who have a reputation as quite the phenomenal live act, and Blush who boast Asya Fairchild from Lost Horizons as their lead singer.
After the music, too, The Magic Gang will be performing a DJ set. An incredibly exciting line-up, which will provide the perfect send off for the legendary Brighton venue, make sure you get down to celebrate and bid farewell to Sticky Mike’s.
