Mind My Music

Chord Orchard Records are presenting an all-dayer event to raise funds and awareness for Music Minds Matter, a dedicated support service for musicians provided by Help Musicians UK, and taking place in a new venue in Portslade, the Circle Arts Centre.

The event on 26th May features a triple bill including BC Camplight, now signed to Brighton-based Bella Union, and the nom de plume of American songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Brian Christinzio (who is now based in Manchester). Then there’s the UK’s best known Americana band Danny and the Champions of the World, who swept the board at the Americana Music Awards in 2016 for best Band, Album and Song of the Year. Finally, Brighton legends and former Mercury Music Prize nominees Electric Soft Parade, reuniting around the brothers Tom and Alex White, for a very rare live show.

Also on the bill are Brother Twain (formed from the ashes of Brighton band CLOWwNS), Diamond Family Archive, Fierce Friend, The Delta Bell, and Hattie Cook.

“Help Musicians UK understands that a musician’s profession is unique. With the highs and lows of performing, financial insecurity and anti-social working hours, we want to help ensure that those who pursue a career in music will not have to do so at the expense of their mental health.”
