The first three acts for the 2019 Love Supreme Jazz Festival have been announced and feature a return for jazz-pop star Jamie Cullum, legendary disco-soul diva Gladys Knight, and three-time Grammy Award-winning jazz and funk collective Snarky Puppy.
The three-day event will run from Friday 5th – Sunday 7th July 2019, following a hugely successful weekend in 2018 that saw over 45,000 in attendance at Glynde Place.
“Looking out from the main stage at the huge crowd enjoying every minute of Earth Wind & Fire’s closing night set this summer was an incredible moment,” explained festival founder Ciro Romano. “The whole weekend was full of similar moments and the festival delivered on so many levels this year. Confirming Jamie Cullum, Gladys Knight and Snarky Puppy for next summer is a fantastic start and a big step towards our aim of delivering an even better event for 2019.”
Founded in 2013, Love Supreme was the first ‘camping jazz festival’ for over three decades, and has since become an established part of the festival calendar, with giants of music such as Grace Jones, Chic and Bryan Ferry gracing its main stage, as well as hosts of legendary jazz musicians such as Pharoah Sanders, Herbie Hancock and Hugh Masakela.
