Following the smash hit of last year’s Brighton Pride weekend, which saw performances from huge mega-stars such as Britney Spears and Nile Rodgers & Chic, expectations were high for its 2019 edition, which has become a huge festival in its own right.
Now, they’ve set the bar even higher, by announcing that Australian pop queen Kylie Minogue will be headlining this year’s Brighton Pride. Minogue, who released her 14th album Golden last year, will close the Saturday Pride in the Park, with Clean Bandit as support.
The festival organisers have also announced two huge names for LoveBN1, which takes place on the Sunday of Pride weekend, and is set to be a killer weekend in the calendar.
Jessie J, of ‘Bang Bang’, ‘Price Tag’ and ‘Domino’ fame, will take the top spot, while bonafide pop legend and LGBT icon Grace Jones will also be gracing the festival. The last time Jones appeared in these parts was for a legendary set at Love Supreme back in 2016, so excitement is high for her return.
With a headliner who has sold more than 80 million records worldwide and an electric line-up in place for the Sunday as well, Brighton Pride looks set to continue its form of the very best Pride the UK has to offer.
