From the moment we first laid eyes on Brighton quartet Fur we knew they were onto something special. Since then, we’ve seen them dominate The Beach stage at this year’s The Great Escape festival – as well as our very own stage for the Alternative Escape – and headline The Haunt at the start of the year.
While on record they’ve been equally impressive with the dynamic ‘If You Know That I’m Lonely’, which has amassed a mind boggling four million views on YouTube, and the brilliant 2018 single ‘What Would I Do?’.
A sound from a bygone era, they’ve returned with another ace 50s-style banger in the form of ‘Angel Eyes’. Coming with a brilliantly old-fashioned video describing the ins and outs of croquet, it’s another slice of soothing romantic joy from the Brighton doo-woppers.
Additionally the band have announced their debut self-titled EP, out on 14th February, as well as a short UK tour for the start of next year which will hit Brighton’s Patterns on 15th February which will, no doubt, be a beautiful post-Valentines Day treat.
