I’d been looking forward to catching 2ManyDJs play ever since I saw them at Secret Garden Party last year. Luckily for me though, this time I wasn’t standing in the pouring rain with mud up to my knees attempting to dance in wellies and a sweaty rain mac! Unfortunately though, Digital is not one of my favourite venues in the world thanks to their sticky floors, crazy bar queues and an omnipresent, oozing stench of poo. However, a few drinks in and some great music – you soon forgive these irritations and can concentrate on enjoying the night.
I managed to catch an hour or so of the warm up DJ which I’d been looking forward to – but unfortunately, I found him to be particularly bland and found his choice of mixing pretty uninventive. However, it was clear that the crowd hadn’t come to see him, they’d come for the highly anticipated and formidable ‘2ManyDJs’. As soon as 2ManyDJs arrived on stage, the crowd went mad. The brothers continued to pump our bodies with their familiar deep-rooted bass lines and catchy hooks all night long. They have the ability to awe us with wonderfully clever ‘drops’ mixed in with the perfect amount of ‘lifts’ to fuel us party-goers bones. One of my favourite mixes of the night had to be their version of the classic ‘Frankie Says Relax’ which involved a mass crowd sing-along.
Unfortunately, due to the architectural nature of Digital, I wasn’t able to catch a glimpse at 2ManyDJs perform throughout the entire night and, unlike when I saw them play at Secret Garden Party, there didn’t seem to be any film projections accompanying them. This was a real shame as I had been looking forward to getting lost in the bass whilst being hypnotised by the visuals. However, the lack of visual stimulation did not distract from what 2ManyDJs are all about – the music and a lot of dancing. Overall, it was a brilliant night filled with the exceptional music promised and by the end of it, very sore feet!
Next time 2ManyDJs are in town and you fancy having a great night out, we recommend you get your tickets and look forward to a night of  mayhem.
