Fleetwood Mac announce European dates

Fleetwood Mac have announced three European dates next year, with tickets being released Friday 25th October. No doubt they will be gobbled up extremely fast, so better get your fingers on the button. London, Dublin and Berlin are the lucky cities, with Wembley Stadium the venue for their London show on 16th June. These dates will feature a line-up of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie along with newcomers Mike Campbell and Neil Finn, who recently replaced Lindsay Buckingham.

Buckingham was reportedly dismissed by the band, and was reportedly upset that the band wouldn’t consider new or rarely played material. The band have seemingly addressed this issue by saying, “With Mike and Neil, we’ll be performing all the hits that the fans love, plus we’ll be surprising our audiences with some tracks from our historic catalogue of songs.

“We jammed with Mike and Neil and the chemistry really worked and let the band realise that this is the right combination to go forward with in Fleetwood Mac style. We know we have something new, yet it’s got the unmistakable Mac sound,” said original member Mick Fleetwood, who first hooked up with Peter Green back in 1967, along with John McVie.

Whether or not they finally take the Glastonbury Festival plunge remains to be seen, but as it takes place at the end of June, it could be in their thinking.
