Shannon and The Clams - The Haunt, Brighton - Friday 31st August 2018

Brighton favourites Shannon and The Clams return to the city to play their biggest ever gig to-date. Fresh from their brand-new album, Onion, a eulogy of sorts to the 36 who died at a fire at the Ghost Ship, a warehouse venue in their native Oakland, California. It’s their most sophisticated and mature release to-date, proving that they’re way more than a gimmick-led band.

Described as “Sounding like a prom band from 1964 getting dosed with acid and having the sweetest lovelorn freak out”, Shannon and The Clams have always been a band that turn genre conventions on their head. Mixing the likes of doo-wop, blues, and soul with garage rock, they’re a constantly exciting band with an even better live presence. Their show at The Haunt is sure to be a showcase of all of this, with certainly a few surprises too.

Ticket price: £11.00 SeeTickets.
